The Fruit of Silence – March 2023

Our mid-season concert features three works, on a theme of darkness giving way to light. Rutter’s Requiem is unmistakably optimistic in its message of hope and solace, expressed through uplifting musical themes and beautiful texts in both Latin and English. Join us also for Bob Chilcott’s Canticles of Light and Pēteris Vasks’ The Fruit of Silence.

Follow the Star – December 2022

Seattle Choral Company’s Thirteenth Annual Cathedral Christmas Concert featured The Ballad of the Brown King, composed by Margaret Bonds with lyrics by Langston Hughes. Seasonal works composed and arranged by Black American artists rounded the program for out this family holiday tradition.
