The International day of charitable giving
Giving Tuesday is a movement to create an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which this year falls on December 3rd.
Last year the Seattle Choral Company participated in Giving Tuesday for the first time, and raised over $1000 through the fundraising efforts of our members and the generosity of our community. This year we aim to improve on our 2018 total with a goal of $3000.
The money we raise through Giving Tuesday will go towards hiring professional musicians to support our mission of artistic excellence by way of vocal coaching, leading sections, and participating in concerts as needed throughout the season, as well as other operational expenses.
Please join us and the other 3.5 million people who made last year’s Giving Tuesday a success.
